About our School

Morehead Middle School is comprised of an administrative staff of a principal, three assistant principals, a counseling staff,  core curriculum coaches and testing coordinator.
More than 70 educators enrich our students in academics, Spanish and French language programs, fine arts to include band, choir, drama, visual arts and orchestra. The campus offers a variety of UIL sports to include volleyball, basketball, soccer and football. Extracurricular clubs include cheerleading and dance club. The Morehead Campus also possesses an internal broadcasting studio which produces daily, video announcements.
Our campus provides its students with three, state-of-the-art computer labs in which all teachers and students have access to augment their educational needs.

Morehead is especially proud of its administrative/teaching staff which includes this year’s Texas State Speech teacher of the year for 2007/08, Mrs. Mary Jane Grant, 2005 Texas GT educator of the year, Mrs. Beverly Given,  2006/07 Region XIX’s School Nurse of the Year and Texas School Nurse of the Year, Mrs. Nancy Haegele. Several of our educators possess a varied professional background to include military service,  business experience, and prestigious educational backgrounds.

Morehead’s PTA plays an active role with our students’ education and provides social activities and fundraiser support.
