I am Mary Stewart and am proud to be one of the Red Raider Counselors from Morehead Middle School in El Paso, Texas. I have a Master's Degree in Counseling and
Guidance and a Master's in Curriculum and Instruction with specialities in Special Education and Bilingual Education. I have taught Kindergarten, Elementary, Middle, High School and Junior College. I was the Director of the Career Center at El Paso Community College before going into teaching. I spent twenty years in High School counseling before returning to my first love--Middle School.
Morehead Middle School is a bullyfree zone. Morehead Raiders are RESPECTFUL, RESPONSIBLE, READY and PROUD. When you enter the halls of Morehead, the first thing you will notice is how friendly the students and teachers are. One of the first people you meet will be one of the counselors. We will help you to register for the correct courses. Courses here include regular reading, language arts, math, social studies, and science classes. Advanced students may wish to take Pre-AP or Gifted and Talented (GT) courses. Some of these may require prior testing to qualify the student for upper level work.
Students can choose from the electives of band, orchestra, choir, or art. Sixth and Eighth graders may select computer class. All students take P.E.
