A Gallegos

I am extremely honored to be the principal of Morehead Middle School.  Morehead is known for Spirit, Pride, and Tradition.  It is my goal to keep these values strong at one of the oldest middle schools in the city.  There is a reason that we say "First in the West, Best in the West."  The faculty and staff of Morehead Middle School are devoted to ensuring that your child has a successful three years that prepares them for high school, college and beyond.  Our collective commitment is that every student is given every opportunity to be successful, both while at Morehead MS and beyond.

I hold a Bachelors of Arts degree and a Masters in Educational Leadership from the University of Texas at El Paso, go Miners! I am currently working on my Doctorate of Education from Northcentral University. Fabens HS offered me my first teaching and coaching position, from there I went to Gadsden HS and Americas HS.  My administration career started in Arlington, TX. In Arlington High School I was an Assistant Principal for two years.  While I enjoyed my time in the Metroplex, I really missed home. I came back to El Paso as an Assistant Principal at Irvin HS, after two years I transferred to Silva Health Magnet HS. I was appointed principal at Morehead Middle School in October 2013.
